honda fit hybrid... what?!

Could it be true?

More excitement was stirred when Edmunds's Inside Line suggested that the Honda Fit Hybrid could mean an 80-mpg car selling for under $12,000.

to me, this is what a hybrid car should be.

I first heard about this car mid second semester (March/April) and I didn't believe it. Matt has told me they're introducing the hybrid model in japan this year and next year in the states. with, overall, rising gas prices this is probably one of the best ideas for the dollar, and about 18 thousand cheaper than the prius. honda is abolishing the insight at the end of this year, and that is an 18 thousand dollar car, anyway (comfortably done).

The fit already gets about 35-37 average mpg so I don't doubt that the hybrid version could get close to 80 average...

some stuff

looking for a job is tough. especially in this city... mainly because the job market here is, basically, crap. my morals tell me not to work in fast food, well... so does my head, so that is out of the picture. basically anything involving food in general is out of the picture, i think.

it has been nice not having school, though. oh, yes... it has been extremely nice. i can't even begin to explain why.

you know what's good... the food at the gyro stands. their hummus is really spicy, which i like, so every once in awhile matt and i go to the downtown one and eat there. they open at 10pm. it'd be cool if they had an actual shop somewhere in town.

david blaine

yesterday matt and i watched the second half of the david blaine special on abc. david blaine attempted to pull a stunt that was completely ridiculous. he stayed under water for 7 days and then tried to escape from the eight handcuffs he had chained to him and all for what? he wouldn't have been able to break the record because he would have had to been breathing normal air for 2 hours instead of straight oxygen.
anyhow, he almost died. i was pretty sure he would die and i thought that would be a sight to see.


i'm getting a new job, i'm not getting more than ten hours a week at my current one. i applied at the antique mall in ames and at borders. i am looking to apply at other downtown locations because i have decided that i really would like to live downtown.

now that i'm talking nonsense, i'm going to quit while i'm ahead.

out of touch

my rabbit, oatis, died this weekend. i found out yesterday.


i watched walk the line yesterday and bought throw momma from the train on dvd. this is why i love that movie:
Momma: Who the HELL are you?
Larry: I'm Owen's friend.
Momma: Owen doesn't have a friend!
Larry: That's because he's shy.
Momma: No he's not. He's fat and he's stupid!
