life

i really like the flaming lips. sometimes when i'm listening to them i remember when i saw them over the summer. i do this often actually. there are a lot of bands that i really enjoy live but i cannot seem to listen to their recorded music. i.e. old time relijun.

i started ordering mustard on my sammich at jimmy johns. it's incredibly good and i suggest everyone eat mustard all of the time.

simply orange started making simply limeade and simply lemonade. both are simply amazing.
now i need a simply apple and simply grapefruit and simply grape and simply ______. i like all of my juices simple.

nic was telling me the other night that when he worked at wheatsfield they did a lot of juicing with fruit (on the ripe side of the spectrum) and i think that sounds wonderful. i think working somewhere that does that sort of thing is quite divine.
YES PLEASSSSSEEEEEEEE! i am often hungry at work. i wish i could eat a sandwich right now, infact.

i took the little converse allstar sticker-type things off of my shoes just now. these shoes have gotten really dirty in the past few months. oops?

i thought i had more to say... i guess not.
we're on season four of six feet under and are starting gilmore girls after this. very exciting, no?!

parents trip east.

so my parents went east for a few weeks and left me the house to myself. prime time to have a party? maybe if you like parties! i, seriously, did not do anything out of the ordinary during this time. i know, i lost my chance probably. well, i uploaded the photos they took onto their computer and sent myself the good ones and decided to upload the good ones onto here...as you could probably tell. i am having a lot of troubles with this html that blogger has enforced upon me. sorry about the weirdness of the text and whatnot.
enjoy nonetheless.

what it all means to me

i spend a significant amount of my money earned on music. random cds that i feel i should purchase out of love for the artists. then again, i download quite a bit too. i'd say in the end, it all evens out.
i realized what i'm really searching for is a soundtrack, one for you know... life.

the other day i was watching family guy with matthew and peter got three wishes. one of his wishes was to have theme music and i realized that's all i've ever really wanted. i wish that there was some way i could express to people how i'm feeling without actually saying a word. all people, not merely a select few. i say this last part because there is always a small group of people that can tell what's going on without you saying a word.

i found a copy of mother night by vonnegut while waiting for my english class to start. i'm going to read it and leave it somewhere for someone else to find.
i hope the person who had it before me wanted to do the same.

i want to be done with school, i want to have the rest of my life at my finger tips. i want a steady job and steady friends and a quaint place to live. living here is logical but it does not satisfy my mind. i don't know how to tell mom and dad that i really need to move out of this house for my sanity.
they told me i won't have a car anymore and i was thinking about that and i don't care. i wouldn't have a car if i was at a different university so... so what! i only use the car to go to matt's and the grocery store. i buy most of my food.
i need a trial run, that's what i was thinking of earlier but i forgot.

sometimes i don't make sense... even to me. oops?
i want you all to listen to this song and think about your freshman year of high school and how it would make you feel, and how it would change your life... the eels make me think of high school and how oblivious i was. this song in particular.

interesting occurences

so i didn't work last friday from 2-5 like i normally do, but i get to pick up a shift (8-1) this friday to make up for it? oh well. life, huh?

astronomy quizzes are going to be a pain in the ass.

the lighter to the right is a lighter i bought at the tobacco outlet when i went there with cade for 50 cents. it is probably the worst lighter i have ever owned in my life but at jeff's birthday party i was playing with it and i pressed it down and for some reason it just stayed lit (as you can maybe see in the photograph) and this amazed me to no end for obvious reasons.

thusly, i thought i should share it with the world (or the select few that have received a link to this account).

ohkay

sometimes i stay up too late for words and i end up waking up later than expected and not having enough time to do the things that i need to do... i.e. study for things like french and astronomy quizzes.

when will i ever learn?

uhm

not all bloggers start out with a, usually necessary, "welcome to my blog" post, spenser!

i just ate salt and vinegar kettle chips that are now stuck in my teeth and i reckon the only way to remove them would be to brush my teeth.
without further adieu i shall go do just that.

ah, the picture on the right is of the elephant head that i found at the barn.

good day, chaps!
