trip to the vet and the dancer

i just returned from a trip to the vet with lydia (more commonly known as kitty). she has been peeing outside of her litter box for awhile and although my parents thought it was because she's a little bitch, i thought otherwise after awhile.

i mean, she's grown to not mind the cats. it's not like they actually fight -- just hissing.

it was very surreal going to the vet's office, something i used to do as a child with my parents. they weighed her, she's just under 8 pounds. they gave her a shot and she tried to snip at the vet. they took her in to do a urine sample and brought her back to me afterwards and she just climbed into my lap and wouldn't move. she's never been that affectionate.

in the end, she had a urine infection from her food and her urine had a high pH so i bought new food -- that science diet stuff, she gave me the c/d variety (whatever the hell that means).

now onto another story.

matt and i went to Hastings the other day looking for the sims 2: open for business pack (for him, i don't play video games!) and there was this angst-ridden looking girl (whom, i must say, desperately needed to shower) dancing furiously to some unknown album that was on the “alternative” display. it was straight out of an awkward indie flick. around this time was when i was endlessly curious as to what she could be so into so we waited for her to leave the station and ever so sneakily walked directly by it close to her finishing her angsty dancing. i found out she was listening to the latest offspring album and more specifically, track number three (titled "self esteem") wait, now i see that it's a greatest hits album... even better. i didn't know the offspring had any hits. oh, it says they were the guys that did that pretty fly (for a white guy) song. i guess that was technically a hit.

after that all we could talk about was how we wanted her to get a youtube account and do angst-ridden dances, whilst filming them with her digital camera/web cam, and post them on like our personal favorite weirdo of youtube BeccaBaby (keep in mind this girly girl is 14 years of age while watching these videos -- most of you who will watch these will be endlessly disturbed, i'm guessing. let's just hope her parents never see these... more like, let's be endlessly glad that we're not that crazy to do anything like this)

well, that's all for today.

good day, chaps!
